Louis Dawson is a “total outdoorsman” and mountaineer who makes his home in Colorado. He hikes, climbs, hunts, skis, jeeps, snowmobiles, fishes, and bicycles throughout the world. Dawson is a published author and professional blogger who specializes in writing about backcountry skiing and ski mountaineering, and is well known as the first man to ski down all 54 of Colorado’s 14,000 foot peaks. He is the publisher emeritus of famed ski touring website WildSnow.com, author of Dawson’s Guides to Colorado’s Fourteeners, Wild Snow (skiing history) and several other books, as well as numerous magazine articles. Lou was inducted into the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame in 2005.
